Today we celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Today is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In this Solemnity, the Church presents us this mystery for our contemplation: the mystery of the heart of a God who feels compassion and who bestows all his love upon humanity. A mysterious love, which in the texts of the New Testament is revealed to us as God’s boundless and passionate love for mankind.
Today we are celebrating the Solemnity of St John the Baptist (displaced by tomorrow's Solemnity of the Sacred Heart). He is the only saint — with the exception of the Virgin Mary — whose birth the liturgy celebrates and it does so because it is closely connected with the mystery of the Incarnation of the Son of God.
Today is the feast of Ss Thomas More & John Fisher, martyrs.
Giving thanks to Almighty God for a grace-filled Octave celebrating His greatest gift to us - The Most Blessed Sacrament.
The London Eucharistic Octave 2022 @catholiclondon concluded with the celebration of a Pontifical Sung Mass of Corpus Christi at Corpus Christi, Maiden Lane, on Sunday 19th June, celebrated by His Excellency, Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti, Papal Nuncio to Great Britain. The Mass was followed by a Procession around Covent Garden @coventgardenldn and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
